Parkway Construction Recognized with Merit Award for Hill Cumorah Historic Site & Facility Restoration
We’re proud to highlight the Hill Cumorah Historic Site & Facility Restoration project’s recent recognition by the Ohio Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (OCASLA) with a 2025 Merit Award in the Design | Constructed category.
This project in Palmyra, New York, involved comprehensive restoration and improvement of the historic Hill Cumorah site — an area of deep cultural and historical significance. The work included site rehabilitation and enhancements aimed at restoring the landscape, improving visitor access, and supporting the long‑term interpretation of the site’s heritage.
Parkway Construction served as contractor on this project, working alongside design partners to deliver quality construction that honored both the natural character and the historic importance of the site. The OCASLA Merit Award recognizes excellence in landscape architecture for constructed projects that demonstrate thoughtful integration of design and execution.
This recognition reflects the hard work and coordination across disciplines — from site contractors and landscape professionals to client stakeholders — to create a setting that supports accessibility, interpretation, and respectful engagement with this storied location.
