Parkway was founded in 1981 by John Elmer with a vision of becoming the “Customer’s Choice” through top notch construction services and customer service. This vision has been realized by placing the highest priority on core values built on a strong foundation of uncompromising integrity and respect. From an initial focus on building restaurants, Parkway has grown to become one of the most respected and accomplished contractors in the country, with national coverage in 48 states extending to market segments that include churches, retail, hospitality, clubhouses and healthcare.
Parkway grew to $100 million in revenue by 2000, bolstered by the addition of several key team members, including Joe Elmer in 1981, Rick Wojciechowski in 1985 and Jerry Elmer in 1993. John transitioned from the role of President and Chief Executive to an active member of Parkway’s Board of Directors in 2002 with the reins being passed to his brother - Joe Elmer.
Parkway continues to work closely with clients and goes well beyond the traditional construction management model by providing tailored solutions to a broad variety of construction needs. Delighting our customers and being flexible and adaptive to their changing needs continues to fuel Parkway’s dramatic growth.
